The Mid Sussex Triathlon is a labour of love, run by the local Mid Sussex Triathlon Club.

Our number one aim is to make this a great race, so the emphasis is on a relaxed atmosphere where people can enjoy their sport. Everyone is welcome
This race is priced to be open to everyone, from beginners to experienced athletes. We love welcoming new people to the sport and we have a long tradition of encouraging novices to get to the start line. We're happy to answer questions and provide tips for beginners, and we also offer a course familiarisation day where you can try the bike and run routes. On race day, our marshals are known for their patience helping people.
Equally, this well-designed course appeals to experienced athletes, and many of our seasoned competitors come back year after year to compete.
For the past two years we've been delighted to welcome visually impaired teams, and we would like to see this grow in future. In 2019, we're also bringing back relays, for those who are not able or confident enough to attempt the whole race.
Well organised and great value
We have been running a slick, well-organised race for the past 18 years, and our race is great value because we're not running a commercial venture. We have one of the lowest entry prices in the region, which includes free photos, a medal, a bib-number raffle after the race, an entertaining prize-giving ceremony, and plenty of goodies given out along the way.
As fellow triathletes, we know that injuries occur and circumstances change, which is why we offer a full refund (less any bank charges) if you enter but can't take part. Duplicate entries made in genuine error will also be refunded in full. See our T&Cs for more info.
